Discounted Cash Price

With this option, a deposit is due at booking. You pay the remaining balance on delivery or pickup in either cash, cashier’s check, or money order.

Regular Price

If you choose, you can pay by credit card through PayPal at the time of booking. The advantages of this method are that it’s a one-time payment and you can pay it off over time.

To use other methods such as wire transfer, ACH to a bank account, or deposit to a bank account, please speak with our dispatcher.

Pickup Window

This is the time it takes to pick up your vehicle starting from your “desired pickup date”. It is not part of your transit time and generally takes 1-5 days.

The possible advantages of meeting the carrier

If you are shipping to or from a rural area, it may take longer. Consider meeting the carrier in or near a major metropolitan area to decrease the price and speed up your shipment.

Delivery Date & Time

The delivery date depends on your estimated transit time. Once your order is dispatched, you receive an estimated arrival date. Know that it is difficult to pinpoint an exact day and time for delivery. Factors such as weather, traffic and other car loads can affect it.

Delayed Delivery

Weather conditions such as rain, snow, high winds, etc. may occur along your route. In these cases, delivery may be delayed due to weather conditions.

Early Delivery

Can great weather and good traffic be a bad thing? Possibly. It may cause your vehicle to be delivered ahead of the estimated schedule.

Communication with your carrier is the key to a successful car shipment. You have their number and they have yours. Usually carriers will call you hours in advance to give you an estimated drop-off time. They call again when they are in the area to give you a more specific hour of arrival.

YES, You Can Load Personal Items In Your Vehicle

One Suitcase

With Easy Auto Ship you can have 1 suitcase or bag of up to 100 lbs. in the trunk free of charge.

Loading Extra Items

If you want to add more than 100 lbs. of items in your vehicle, $100 or more is added to your total cost depending on the size of your car. The smaller the vehicle, the lower the cost.

Anything over 100 lbs. can compromise the weight restrictions trucks must follow.

If you choose this option, please know that:

  • you may load belongings inside the vehicle and the trunk
  • items MUST be loaded below window level
  • the driver’s seat MUST be clear at all times

Under NO circumstances are Explosives, Guns, Ammunition, Flammable Products, Narcotics or any unlawful contraband allowed in your vehicle during transport.

Every truck driver is subject to inspection at state lines and can be fined for hauling personal items as the “Federal and State Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations prohibit the transport of household items in vehicles being transported by auto carriers.

Record of the Vehicle Condition at Pickup and Delivery

A bill of lading is a detailed list of a shipment of goods in the form of a receipt given by the carrier to the person consigning the goods at pickup and at delivery. It is often abbreviated as just “BOL”. When it comes to auto transport, it is used to record any existing external damage before transport as well as any new which happened during transit that is marked at delivery. For that reason this is the most important document for insurance claims.

The Procedure for Pickup and Delivery

DURING PICKUP

  1. Before loading your vehicle, you and the carrier carefully inspect it for pre-existing scratches, dents and other damage
  2. There is an image of the vehicle on the bill of lading. The truck driver marks all pre-existing damages in the correct area of the image
  3. It is highly recommended to tell the truck driver to record the current mileage of your vehicle’s odometer. It’s also highly recommended to take several pictures of the vehicle at pickup and again at delivery.
  4. Both the truck driver and you sign the document and each must keep a copy of it.
  5. If you disagree with what the truck driver is marking, please call us for assistance at the time of pickup, (800) 266-2202.

UPON DELIVERY

  1. At the time of delivery, the truck driver must allow you to carefully inspect your vehicle again.
  2. If there are any NEW scratches, dents or other damages to your vehicle you must mark them on the bill of lading in the proper area of the image and write down in the field for exceptions/comments an exact description of the NEW damage. Taking pictures at pickup and delivery is highly recommended.
  3. AFTER the inspection, both the truck driver and you should sign the document and each must keep a copy of it.
  4. After the inspection, if there is a balance due for your shipment, legally you still must pay the carrier even if there is an issue with the vehicle. An insurance claim and payment of freight charges are two entirely different transactions.
  5. At the time of delivery, if there is a disagreement on the condition of the vehicle, please call us at (800) 266-2202.
Remember, you have the right to inspect your vehicle properly at the time of delivery.
  • You have the right to mark on the bill of lading any issues you find with your vehicle.
  • If there is an issue with the vehicle on delivery, remember you still must pay the carrier the transport fare. An insurance claim and payment of freight charges are two entirely different transactions.

Not Dispatched Order

If your order has NOT been assigned (dispatched) for loading, your payment is fully refundable.

Dispatched Order

If your order HAS been assigned (dispatched) for loading, your payment is refundable, less a $195 service fee or the amount of your partial payment, whichever is less.

You are notified by email as soon as your order is dispatched. At this point, we have already made a reservation for your vehicle. Therefore, due to services rendered, we refund the difference to $195.
